Crochet Mug Cosy

I made this mug cosy yesterday and the family member who needs it will get it on Easter Sunday. Now he doesn't have to use a hankie and can be more stylish! I sent him a picture of his new mug cosy and he's really happy with it. It didn't take long to make. I have used pale coffee cotton and aqua synthetic yarn trim. I chained 42 stitches then started trebles on the 3rd chain from the hook. I completed 7 rows of trebles. I slipped stitched around in aqua doing 3 stitches into the corner stitches and then 11 chain for the button hooks. It was sheer luck I happened to have to matching aqua buttons which I sewed on firmly. The mug cosy looks neat and tidy and like it belongs there. Now I have done one I can play around with these and make some decorative ones!
