Ocean baby booties

I made these booties using the Easy baby booties pattern.   I used stocking stitch instead of garter stitich for a wamooth look. I knitted 12 rows at the top of the booties so the tops would roll over. I like that look. Loved using my pompom maker again to make the pompoms and added som aqua coloured yarn to that so these booties really are ocean colours and I really like that. The pattern is so easy to rememebr because there are so many sixes.

Cast on 36 stitches
Increase one stitich at the beginning of 6 rows
42 stitches
Knit 6 rows

Decrease one stitch at the beginning of next 6 rows.
Cast off 6 stitches at the beginning of next two rows.
Knit 12 rows.
Cast off.

I back stitched the bootie seams so they would be neat and solid. When I decrease one stitch I knit one and then knit two together. You get a neater edge that way.

These are synthetic yarn and so machine washable and easy care and measure 9cm toe to heel.
